Virginia will not be in the path of totality, but we should still get quite the spectacle during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. Find out more about this fascinating phenomenon—and how to view it safely— with programs and activities offered at your local JMRL branch.
Featured programs include presentations from NASA affiliate eclipse ambassadors, hands-on activities, movies, storytimes, and more. Check out all the eclipse activities on the JMRL calendar.
Eclipse viewing glasses will be available for attendees at each eclipse event. Please note that glasses will be distributed to participants only during the events, while supplies last.
Drop by Greene County Library or any Bookmobile stop to pick up an Eclipse Take & Make kit (while supplies last). The kit includes supplies for making your very own chalk eclipse image, along with a pair of viewing glasses. Watch the Bookmobile’s step-by-step video.
