Donate new books at your local JMRL branch to share the gift of reading with community members of all ages
Central Library
November 10 – December 10 Bring a new, unwrapped book for any age (kids, teen, adult) to Central Library. Donations will be shared with Barrett Early Learning Center, The Haven, and The Kindlewood Neighborhood Community.
Crozet Library
November 13 – December 23 Help feed young minds at Crozet Library! Drop off a new, unwrapped children’s book and we’ll share your love of reading by donating it to the local food pantry or MACAA Head Start preschool.
Gordon Avenue Library
November 6 – December 6 Bring unwrapped new books to Gordon Avenue Library to support Park Street MACAA Headstart Children. NO board books or activity books, please!
Greene County Library
October 25 – November 30. Visit Greene County Library and select a child’s handprint from the Giving Tree. Purchase a new, hardcover book, and bring the unwrapped book along with the child’s handprint to Greene County Library before the 30th of November. Books will be shared with children in the preschool classes at Nathanael Greene Primary School.
NELSON MEMORIAL Library
Through December 11th. Bring new, unwrapped children’s picture books to Nelson Memorial Library for children in the Tye River Elementary and Rockfish River Elementary Headstart programs. No board books or activity books, please.
Scottsville Library
November 20th – December 13th Scottsville Library will be collecting for the local early intervention preschool.
