Each year, JMRL hosts a Summer Reading Challenge as a way for people of all ages to engage and enjoy reading throughout the hotter months.

More than 900 challenge sheets have been submitted, but there is still time for participants to enter this year’s challenge!

Tim Carrier, Young Adult Services Manager, said that participants have until Monday, August 31 to complete challenge sheets and record their completion on jmrl.org/summer.

“After August 31, participants will be notified with information about picking up prizes during curbside service or will have the option to wait until the buildings open to retrieve their prize”, Carrier said.

The grand prize winners will be selected from participating adults, teens, and children from each branch and each winner will be notified and will receive a $50 gift card to Barnes & Noble bookstore.

“Even though this year’s challenge looked a bit different, we still witnessed a large number of participants”, he said.

“A big thank you to everyone who participated this year!”
