Belly Bumps & Babes program

Learn more about late pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with Cindy Fargo of Honeybee Doula Services, LLC at the Greene County Library.

The first of the four-part series will be held on January 4 from 9:30-11:30am, focusing on realistic choices and expectations about birth.

Fargo is a professionally trained and certified doula (DONA-Doulas of North America) who provides education, support and care to moms and families living in the greater Charlottesville area.

“Empowering and encouraging young parents to make well-informed, intentional choices about their own healthcare and, of course, about their children’s healthcare is so important,” Fargo said.

Fargo not only wishes to help the parents-to-be who attend the discussion, but also hopes they carry the conversation further to build a stronger community and support other families.

“My hope is to broach these kinds of topics and open the conversation so it will spark further investigation, questioning and forethought,” she said.

The remaining discussions will be held on February 1, March 7, and April 4.
