Occasionally there is bad weather in JMRL’s service areas. When this happens, library branches may have reduced hours or even be closed. JMRL uses a few ways to let patrons know if a branch will have changes in regular hours. Patrons can check NBC29, WINA NewsRadio, Newsplex, or JMRL’s Facebook page for updates about library hours. If the Albemarle County schools are closed due to bad road conditions, the Bookmobile will not run that day.

So, if you can’t get to the library because of bad weather, try downloading an ebook or audiobook at home. With your library card you can check out books from Overdrive, RBdigital, and Freading.
