Want to learn how to make a banana synth? Make Zentangle art? Use a fire extinguisher? Play chess? Build a bike tire from scratch? Learn all this and more during JMRL’s How-To Festival at Central Library from 10am-1pm on Saturday, May 6.
The festival returns for a 5th year with its fast-paced, interactive, library takeover format. Learn 30 things in three hours! Drop in for presentations and demos from more than 30 local businesses, community organizations, experts, and hobbyists in 15-30 minute sessions inside and outside the library.
The How-To Festival is FREE and open to everyone. Bring the family and tell your friends! There’s something for all ages—with topics ranging from how to print on small presses to practicing yoga to how to keep houseplants happy. Learn about beekeeping or planning and surviving a long trail trek. Enjoy cider donuts and check out the bookmobile, a fire truck, ambulance and the CASPCA Pet Adoption van on 2nd Street. Stop by the Friends of the Library’s mini book sale, and much more. See JMRL’s 3D printer in action and discover some surprising items you can check out at JMRL!
