To help raise funds for the Nelson Memorial Library expansion, the Grow Nelson Library community group is hosting a Benefit Auction on Sunday, November 3 from 3-5pm.
A variety of items are up for grabs, including artwork, books, bed and breakfast packages, retreats, gift certificates, golf packages, and so much more at the Nelson Center in Lovingston.
Susan Huffman, Branch Manager at Nelson Memorial Library, said the auction will be a fun-filled afternoon with refreshments and music.
“Money from this auction will go towards Grow Nelson Library’s fundraising goal of $150,000 to secure a $100,000 Perry Foundation challenge grant,” she said.
“Each day, the excitement builds here at Nelson Memorial Library as they bring in a new truck or piece of equipment for our addition.”
“You can see the outline of the meeting rooms, the business center, computer lab, and new sitting spaces for patrons. We can hardly wait until we move in!” Susan said.
The Nelson Center is located at 8445 Thomas Nelson Highway, Lovingston, Virginia 22949.
For people unable to attend the Benefit Auction, donations are being accepted and can be made at www.grownelsonlibrary.org, dropped off at the Nelson Memorial Library, or by check to the Nelson Memorial Library Fund (Nelson Memorial Library, P O Box 321, Lovingston, Virginia 22949).
