The presidential election is just one month away. In making your decision you may be looking for unbiased information about fact checking and voting history of the candidates. We have rounded that up for you here:

Fact-checking
FactCheck.org – This is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. This site is a nonpartisan, nonprofit which was established by publisher and philanthropist Walter Annenberg to “create a community of scholars within the University of Pennsylvania that would address public policy issues at the local, state and federal levels”.

PolitiFact – PolitiFact is a project of the Tampa Bay Times newspaper and its partner news organizations to help you find the truth in American politics. Funding is provided by a combination of ads, subscriptions, and grants from foundations seeking “to improve news coverage and civic discourse”.

Voting History
GovTrack – This is a completely independent organization which receives no funding in any form from outside organizations. Operating costs are raised through advertising revenue and crowdfunding. They publish the status of federal legislation and information about representatives and senators in Congress.

VoteSmart – The mission of this site is to provide free, factual, unbiased information on candidates and elected officials to all Americans. Run by volunteers, VoteSmart is funded by donations and takes no money from special interest groups.
